About WIOCC Group

WIOCC Group’s digital infrastructure spans subsea and terrestrial fiber connectivity, open-access data centers, and specialized technical services that help global telcos and operators enter and scale across the continent.

With more than 400 employees and plans for rapid growth in 2026, WIOCC Group oversees multiple business units, including global connectivity services, metro and national fiber networks, data centers in Nigeria, the DRC, and South Africa, as well as technical services and open-access interconnection solutions.

The group operates lean compared to its peers, which means every internal system, especially HR and learning, must be simple, reliable, and efficient. As the company expanded across countries, its fragmented HR and learning setup became a barrier to scaling.

The challenge

Before adopting TalentHR, WIOCC Group relied on fragmented and heavily manual processes that slowed HR teams and made consistency difficult.

Disjointed hiring and onboarding operations

  • Recruitment ran through inboxes, with CVs sent, sorted, forwarded, and tracked manually.
  • Onboarding lacked structure, relying on email attachments and inconsistent documentation.
  • Employee data was scattered across separate tools for leave, KPIs, and record-keeping.
  • HR teams across countries had different levels of digital readiness, making consistency difficult.
In short, the organization needed a single, easy-to-use HR software that could unify hiring, onboarding, surveys, data, and people processes, and grow with them.

A disconnected learning experience

At the same time, the LMS supporting internal training wasn’t aligned with HR workflows, making the learning journey disconnected and limiting visibility into employee progress.

They needed a connected system that could:

  • Support seamless onboarding into training
  • Show HR teams training completions without extra admin
  • Bring people data and learning data closer together
This made TalentHR, paired with a connection to TalentLMS, the obvious next step.

With TalentHR centralizing all our people processes and TalentLMS managing the learning side, we now have a complete view of each employee’s progress.

The journey

With TalentHR in place, WIOCC Group began shaping a unified people experience across all regions. HR teams now manage hiring, onboarding, surveys, documents, and employee data within a single, consistent system, providing every department with a shared way of working.

The connection to a top-notch LMS, such as TalentLMS, strengthened this ecosystem by aligning training with HR workflows. New hires are introduced to their learning modules as part of the onboarding process, and progress sa well as completions are automatically recorded in TalentHR. Together, both tools create a streamlined journey, from recruitment to onboarding to development, while giving HR full visibility into each employee’s progress and activity.

TalentHR brought consistency to onboarding across all our regions. Once the HR steps are done, TalentLMS takes over seamlessly so every new employee gets the training they need.

The future

As the WIOCC Group continues to scale, the next stage of their journey requires their HR ecosystem to mature accordingly. With increased operational complexity and more rigorous internal requirements, the company is looking for TalentHR’s upcoming features and advanced flexibility to support their growing footprint and stringent security. They also aim to streamline more of the employee lifecycle within a single environment, reducing the number of standalone tools and creating a fully unified experience for employees and managers across all regions.

Looking ahead and as the product grows, WIOCC Group plans to broaden the scope of HR processes managed within TalentHR, ensuring that everything from people data to evaluations to day-to-day workflows is aligned and consistent. On the learning side, they expect their training environment to stay closely connected to HR, especially as they introduce more external academies and richer development content. Their long-term vision is a more integrated journey, where HR processes and learning paths work together smoothly, supporting compliance, engagement, and continued growth at scale.

TalentHR shows us where employees are in their HR journey, and TalentLMS shows us how they’re developing. Together they give us the full story.
